Acrobat Beginner Course
Adobe Acrobat Beginners course will teach students fundamental concepts and terminology, and the basic features of Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Students will learn PDF basics and explore the Acrobat interface. They'll learn how to navigate and organise PDF documents.
Students will learn how to create a PDF document from within Acrobat. They will also create PDF documents from within other applications, and create documents from Web pages. They will learn to modify PDF content by rearranging, editing, and formatting existing text; and by adding headers, footers, watermarks, and backgrounds. They'll learn how to insert multimedia content, including audio, video, and flash files. They'll add bookmarks and links, and improve accessibility in a document.
Students will learn to manage security issues by using password encryption and digital signatures. They'll explore document review techniques, including the use of comments, markups, and automated reviews, such as Page View Sharing and Collaborate Live.
Anybody that has little or no experience with Adobe Acrobat X. Students will get the most out of this course if their goal is to become proficient using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create, modify and review PDF documents.
Good working knowledge of the Windows Operating System and proper IT skills.

Acrobat Advanced Course
This course builds on the fundamentals taught in Acrobat X Pro: Basic. Students will learn how to produce high-quality PDF documents for press. They will learn how to discover geospatial data in a PDF map. They will learn prepress techniques including colour management, proofing and converting colours, colour separations, managing links, trapping, and transparency flattening.
Students will use the Preflight feature to test and convert a document to comply with print provider requirements or ISO9000 standards such as PDF/X, PDF/A, or PDF/E. Students will learn how to interact forms using both the Form Editor as well as Live Cycle Designer ES2. They will learn to distribute PDF documents and forms, and to compile form data returned from users.
Students taking this course should have some experience using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to generate and modify PDF documents.Students will get the most of this course if their goal is to become proficient at using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to generate PDF documents intended for professional print production, manage colour in PDF documents and create interactive PDF forms.
Completed Adobe Acrobat Beginners or have equivalent working knowledge.

There are 2 courses on offer. A 1-day beginner and a 1-day advanced. Please read the course oulines above to determine which is best for you. We recommend taking the advanced course if you are knowledgable of at least 70% of the beginner course.
Wherever your office is located, we can come to you and deliver a private custom Acrobat course. The larger the group the bigger the discount. However we also offer Acrobat training for individuals, either at your corporate headquaters or your home.
For on-site courses, you will need to have a computer with Acrobat and MS Word and if there are 3 or more delegates, a projection system is required for our Acrobat instructor.
Currently we only offer Public Acrobat courses in the Johanensburg and Cape Town areas. We can however provide a private onsite course or of course an online Acrobat course is also available
If you are unable to attend a public Acrobat course, or simply prefer the convenience of an online course, these are regularly offered. For online Acrobat courses you will need Acrobat and MS Word, an insternet connection of 5MB/s or faster and a headset with a mic or use your laptop's built in mic and speakers. All Acrobat course materials are provided digitally. The course is of course, live and fully interactive with engaging teaching.
Acrobat users tend to use the product for specific purposes. We can tailor a course to meet your specific goals.
Acrobat is mostly a standalone application, with the majority of users converting MS word documents to a PDF and using Acrobat for building electronic forms. If you need assistance with layout and graphic design, you should look into Adobe InDesign.
Adobe frequently updates Actobat and we continue to teach earlier versions for those that have not upgraded

For our beginner courses there are no prerequisites however we do recommend a working knowledge of MS Word
All delegates receive digital materials which are the official Adobe training manuals. Our instructors may provide addtional training lessons and information especially for custom courses
Adobe is a global company based in the USA and Acrobat certification through Adobe is recognised worldwide. We can assist you obtaining certification. Taking our Acrobat courses is your first step to certification. Adobe have offered 2 certification levels. Adobe Certfied Expert (ACE) and Adobe Certified Associate (ACA). The ACE is a higher qualification which requires writing an online exam
