InDesign Beginner Course
Adobe InDesign Beginners course is about to rock your world. This training explains why InDesign is the wave of the future and shows you step-by-step how to take advantage of the program’s next-generation features - from creating Document preset, thread text between Text Frames to printing documents and export documents to PDF.
Anybody that has little or no experience with Adobe InDesign. This course is also designed to help you pass the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exam for InDesign. For complete certification training, you should complete this course and Adobe InDesign for Advanced Users.
Good working knowledge of the Operating System

This outline does not guarantee that all the topics listed will be covered in the time allowed. The amount of material covered is based on the skill level of the student audience. We may change or alter course topics to best suit the classroom situation.
InDesign Advanced Course
Adobe InDesign Advanced course you’ll learn all the tricks the professionals know that can save you hours of time in production. After watching this training, you will understand how to build advanced Paragraph Styles that include both Nested and Next styles. You’ll learn everything from Master Pages to Object Styles, have a look at advanced features such as XML and Datamerge, plus discover numerous time saving InDesign workflow shortcuts along the way. This series is just what you need to take your InDesign skills one step further and get you well on your way to easily managing a multiple page document inside InDesign.

There are 2 courses on offer. A 2-day beginner and a 2-day advanced. Please read the course oulines above to determine which is best for you. We recommend taking the advanced course if you are knowledgable of at least 70% of the beginner course.
Whereever your office is located, we can come to you and deliver a private custom InDesign course. The larger the group the bigger the discount. However we also offer InDesign training for individuals, either at your office or your home.
For on-site courses, you will need to have a computer with InDesign and if there are 3 or more delegates, a projection system is required for our InDesign instructor.
Currently we only offer Public InDesign courses in the Johanensburg and Cape Town areas. We can however provide a private onsite course or of course an online InDesign course is also available
If you are unable to attend a public InDesign course, or simply prefer the convenience of an online course, these are regularly offered. For online InDesign courses you will need InDesign, an internet connection of 5MB/s or faster and a headset with a mic or use your laptop's built in mic and speakers. All InDesign course materials are provided digitally. The course is of course, live and fully interactive with engaging teaching.
InDesign users tend to use the product for specific purposes. We can tailor a course to meet your specific goals.
InDesign can be used as a standalone application, however the majority of users will either work with MS word for importing content, Photoshop for editing images in their documents and Acrobat if designing electronic forms.
Adobe frequently updates InDesign and we continue to teach earlier versions for those that have not upgraded

For our beginner courses there are no prerequisites
All delegates receive digital materials which are the official Adobe training manuals. Our instructors may provide addtional training lessons and information especially for custom courses
Adobe is a global company based in the USA and InDesign certification through Adobe is recognised worldwide. We can assist you obtaining certification. Taking our InDesign courses is your first step to certification. Adobe have offered 2 certification levels. Adobe Certfied Expert (ACE) and Adobe Certified Associate (ACA). The ACE is a higher qualification which requires writing an online exam
Although InDesign is widely used, very few users actually understand the full benefit and potential of InDesign when it comes to document layout and digital forms.
